Rotherham United stopper Josh Vickers has missed out on the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award for February, with Cheltenham Town forward Alfie May winning the prize.
The former Lincoln goalkeeper caught the eye of everyone, from Millers fans to those of our opponents in the month of February, with a series of fine displays which included a staggering six clean sheets from seven games – conceding just one in the draw with Wigan Athletic.
Vickers’ nomination was richly-deserved but he is just edged out for the prize by Alfie May, whose red hot form at the other end of the pitch saw him notch eight goals in the month of February.
