READ | Matchday Information v Lincoln City

15 March 2022

Rotherham United are back at AESSEAL New York Stadium on Tuesday, when they welcome Lincoln City for a Sky Bet League One clash, which kicks off at 7:45pm.

Ahead of this fixture, we’d like to remind supporters of some important information.

Arrive Early

We would like to once again encourage supporters who are attending this fixture to arrive in plenty of time ahead of the 7:45pm kick off.

Having issued a similar message prior to our Sky Bet League One fixtures – which yielded a more positive outcome with supporters entering the turnstiles with greater ease – we are once again asking that fans arrive at AESSEAL New York Stadium in plenty of time and familiarise themselves with the new ticket scanning process at the stadium.

Tickets

Having ironed out a number of early teething issues which were experienced following the return of supporters, we are keen to ensure that our fanbase is now up-to-speed with how to gain access using both season cards and matchday tickets.

For those who are not yet familiar with the new turnstile access control system, we have produced the below video tutorial, which we hope will be helpful to supporters prior to their arrival at the stadium.

AEESEAL New York Stadium Covid protocol update

Rotherham United are encouraging supporters attending games at AESSEAL New York Stadium to continue to wear a face covering – although this is no longer compulsory in indoor areas following the latest change to government advice.

Rotherham United can confirm that supporters WILL NOT be required to show a Covid vaccination passport or proof of a negative lateral flow test for this Friday’s Sky Bet League One meeting with Lincoln City.

Supporters continue to be encouraged to follow Government guidance and should not attend AESSEAL New York Stadium if you have any symptoms of Covid or you are required to self-isolate.

Elior UK continuing to encourage card payments on stadium concourse kiosks

As we continue to work towards speeding up food and drink services on matchdays, our catering partners at Elior UK would like to once again encourage card payments on the concourse kiosks.

While cash will still be accepted, we would again like to take this opportunity to encourage fans to use card payments, which remains the quickest and most convenient way to pay on a matchday.

Having noted feedback from supporters about queuing times and whilst continuing to work closely with Elior UK, we remain committed to achieving the best supporter experience possible at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Don Street reopens to pedestrians as bridge works near conclusion

Rotherham United are pleased to confirm that supporters attending Tuesday night’s Sky Bet League One fixture with Lincoln City will once again be able to use Don Street as an access and egress route on foot, although it will remain closed temporarily to vehicular traffic.

As has been previously communicated, the club were required to take measures to temporarily reduce the capacity of AESSEAL New York Stadium whilst the works were ongoing. These capacity restrictions will remain in place until the works reach their conclusion - which we do not anticipate being much further into the footballing calendar.

We would once again like to thank our supporters for their patience and understanding on this matter over the course of this season. We appreciate that the arrangements have not been ideal - particularly at well-attended home fixtures - but would reaffirm that every decision has been made with supporter safety at the forefront of our minds.

GoalZone open

Rotherham United Community Sports Trust will once again be opening their GoalZone - which had been closed throughout the Covid-19 pandemic - for Tuesday’s fixture.

The entertainment facility is free to enter to supporters who are season ticket holders or have purchased tickets for the match, with pre-match entertainment provided for kids who are arriving early for the game.

The centre is now on the ground floor of the Community offices, located on the ground floor of the Eric Twigg Foods West Stand, near the Players' Entrance.

Resident club mascot Miller Bear frequently pops in to say hello on matchdays too, so come along and check it out.

The Goal Zone is open from 5:30pm on Tuesday, but children attending must be accompanied by an adult.
