Young Rotherham United defender Jake Cooper has extended his loan with National League outfit Altrincham, having impressed since making the temporary switch at the beginning of February.

The 21-year-old has turned out three times for Alty since joining on loan and his new side have been unbeaten on the occasions that he has been involved, drawing on his debut before following it up with wins over King’s Lynn and Dagenham and Redbridge.

The Robins are currently 17th in the National League but, at present, safely positioned clear of the drop zone.

Also, among the ranks at Altrincham is former Millers favourite Ben Pringle.

Cooper’s loan will now run until the end of the season, subject to EFL, National League and FA ratification.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to wish Jake the best for the remainder of his time with Altrincham.
