Rotherham United winger Chiedozie Ogbene has made it a hat-trick of Millers players called up for international duty, by being included in the Republic of Ireland senior side for their upcoming games with Belgium and Lithuania.
The flying-winger is the third player from Paul Warne’s squad to have received official confirmation of their involvement in the latest round of international fixtures, following the news that Shane Ferguson and Joshua Kayode had cemented their places in the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland U21 ranks respectively.
Chieo is set to be in action for a double-header of friendlies at Aviva Stadium with Belgium and Lithuania visiting on the 26th March and 29th March respectively.
As many supporters will be aware, international call-ups from both sides has seen the Millers’ Sky Bet League One clash with Sunderland – originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 26th March 2022 – rearranged for Tuesday 26th April 2022, with a 7:45pm kick off.
