Rotherham United relies on a network of excellent host families to help care for young players on a full-time basis and to provide a 'home from home' environment and we are looking to recruit accommodation providers for young professional football apprentices in and around our area.

Players would be with the host families from the beginning of July through to the following May, generally from Sunday evening through to Saturday mornings (dependant on fixtures) with short breaks at Easter and Christmas/New Year.

Ideally, Accommodation Providers will be able to cater for at least two Academy players, each with an individual room.

Rate of pay: To be discussed.

Key Requirements:

  • This role involves supervision and support with young people and is subject to an Enhanced criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for all people who reside at the property age 18 and over and for those who may stay on an ad hoc basis i.e. a partner or relative.
  • Provision of accommodation for a set period of time, i.e. a full season for signed scholars and ad hoc weeks for trialists. Dependent on the players personal home address they may need accommodation 7 days per week.
  • An appropriate level of supervision and support shall be provided depending on the age of the player.
  • Provision of an individual semi-furnished room with bed and storage.
  • Provision of a nutritious breakfast, evening meal and snacks.
  • Provide access to laundry facilities.
