Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the signing of striker Tom Eaves from Hull City, who has penned a three-year-deal at AESSEAL New York Stadium to become Paul Warne’s third signing of the 2022/23 summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old forward arrives in South Yorkshire for the second time having enjoyed a short loan spell with he Millers in 2013.

Eaves came through the ranks at Oldham Athletic, before being snapped up by Bolton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee in 2010, where he enjoyed loan spells with Bristol Rovers, Bury and the Millers to further his footballing education, before a switch to Yeovil Town, scoring seven times in 48 appearances at Huish Park.

The Liverpool born forward was on the move again in 2017, where he enjoyed his most prolific spell to date, spending two years at Priestfield Stadium with Gillingham. Millers fans may remember his last visit to AESSEAL New York Stadium whilst with the Tigers, where his hat-trick fired the visitors to a 3-2 win in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup. During his time at MKM Stadium, he helped the Tigers to the Sky Bet League One title in 2020/21 and to retain their second tier status the following year.

The 6ft 3in striker was up at Roundwood yesterday to meet his new teammates before putting pen-to-paper on his new three year deal with the Millers.
