READ | Millers welcome Garner UK as 2022/23 Primary Strip reverse of shirt sponsors

Rotherham United are delighted to welcome Garner Construction Ltd to our ever-growing portfolio of club partners as they become the 2022/23 reverse of shirt sponsors on our newly-unveiled Primary Strip.

The 2022/23 campaign sees us welcome a new shirt sponsor to the rear of the primary jersey in Garner UK, who are another company to not only pledge their support ahead of the Sky Bet Championship season, but also to tweak their company logo for use on the Millers’ strip.

The shop fitting and building maintenance specialists have amended the primary colours of their branding to black to richly-complement the same colour which features as a trim across the red and white strip, meaning that it effortlessly adorns the top of the shirt, above where the players’ names will be situated.

Garner UK specialise in shop fitting, construction and maintenance and have their registered office based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire and first agreed a sponsorship deal at AESSEAL New York Stadium in November 2020, when they saw their name proudly displayed on a perimeter board, situated on the Mears South Stand.

The deal will run for an initial term of one-year throughout the Millers 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship campaign and Garner UK’s Managing Director Lee Garner – who is also a lifelong Rotherham United supporter – expressed his excitement about the deal both on and off the pitch upon its formal agreement.

“When the chance to increase and expand our commercial involvement with Rotherham United became available, it was an opportunity not to be missed,” he enthused.

“We can say with confidence that it is one of the quickest agreements that we’ve ever signed up to!

“We are so proud of our connection with the club and are confident that this relationship will continue to grow for many years to come.

“There are, of course, the obvious commercial benefits and publicity that come from relationships like this, but as lifelong Rotherham born and bred supporters, the interest and passion runs much deeper."

“Our commercial involvement with the club started in the midst of a global pandemic, when we were all struggling, and to be presented with this opportunity was a truly uplifting prospect for all of us.

“Since then, we have met some truly wonderful people and created lifetime friendships. The sheer love and enthusiasm displayed by all the loyal supporters, club officials, staff and the players – this is what we want to be involved with and are delighted to have our business name associated with.”

Rotherham United’s Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens is no stranger to combining his love for the Millers with his work and reinforced how pleased he was to see another Rotherham fan who has been successful in business strengthen their links with the club.

“I’m delighted to see our relationship with Lee and everyone connected with Garner UK continue to flourish.

“Their commercial involvement with Rotherham United began during the pandemic, a time in which the support of our partners was arguably more crucial than ever and since the day I met Lee, his passion for the football club was obvious.

“With this in mind, it gives me great pleasure to further grow what has already been a great business relationship and I must say that the slightly tweaked Garner UK logo looks excellent on the reverse of our commemorative primary strip.

“I know as a Millers fan how much pride you take in having some involvement with the club, be that as a supporter, sponsor or even onlooker from afar, and I know that Lee will be incredibly proud to see the Garner UK branding appear above the names of our 2022/23 season squad on matchdays.”
