With images of our 2022/23 commemorative Primary strip already released to the public, the club are continuing efforts to mark the 10th season of football at our AESSEAL New York Stadium home with the publication of an all-new 146-page celebration book, documenting all of the landmark events which have happened at the stadium in the last decade.
Working closely with our Programme Partners ACA Creative and club photographer Jim Brailsford, the Millers have set to work on a publication which will celebrate the successes of the last 10 years since moving back to Rotherham, following a four-year exile in Sheffield at Don Valley Stadium.
It goes without saying that the last decade has been ladened with success. A rollercoaster, it certainly has been, but with many more ups than downs.
During that time, the Millers have climbed from the basement division of the EFL pyramid to the Sky Bet Championship and enjoyed numerous promotions back there, most recently last season.
Also included within the book is the ‘unique’ behind-closed-doors season of 2020/21, during which supporters were forced to stay away as the world looked to overcome the challenges presented to us all by the coronavirus pandemic.
The book will work chronologically from the construction of the stadium – which began ahead of the club’s official arrival ‘home’ in 2012 – and run right up to last season’s promotion under Paul Warne.
The publication will be produced in A4 size and in landscape orientation and will be packed with all of the most eye-catching images from each season at New York Stadium.
It isn’t all just football either, with the landmark commercial deals which have been completed within that timeframe also featuring, alongside a number of memorable charity efforts which include the stadium being ‘lit up’ in various colours to support causes like the NHS and more recently those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
Work is currently ongoing to populate and design the book, but together with the help of ACA Creative, the Millers have made it available for pre-order NOW.
