What an incredible year for women’s football in Rotherham after hosting the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 tournament. Rotherham United Women’s Football Club are proud to open several voluntary opportunities to develop skills and experience with the professional women's team.

Assistant Manager (Voluntary)

Role: To assist the manager with training (Tuesday & Thursday evenings) and games (Sunday afternoons)

Requirements:

  • - FA Level 1 or 2 (essential)

  • - Knowledge and experience of Women’s football (desirable)

  • - Playing experience (desirable)

 

First Team Coach (Voluntary)

Role: Lead group and individual coaching sessions at training (Tuesday & Thursday evenings) and lead warm-up for games (Sunday afternoons)

Requirements:

  • - FA Level 1 (desirable)

  • - Knowledge and experience of Women’s football (desirable)

  • - Playing experience (desirable)

 

Assistant Goalkeeping Coach (Voluntary)

Role: Lead and assist individual coaching sessions for goalkeepers at training (Tuesday & Thursday evenings) and lead goalkeeper warm-ups for games (Sunday afternoon)

Requirements:

  • - FA Level 1 (desirable)
  • - FA Level 1 in Coaching Goalkeepers desirable)
  • - Playing experience as a goalkeeper (desirable)

 

Video Coach / Analyst (Voluntary)

Role: To film games using a Veo camera

Requirements:

  • - Code and clip game footage according to team and individual KPI’s requested by coaching staff and players
  • - Upload and distribute video footage to players and staff
  • - Knowledge and experience of filming and coding games (essential)
  • - FA Level 1 (desirable)

 

Sport Scientist (Voluntary)

  • Role: To lead on warm-ups and physical conditioning sessions at training (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) and games (Sunday afternoons)
  • To support and advise coaching staff on physical conditioning and optimising training programmes

Requirements:

  • - Knowledge and experience of physical conditioning training and monitoring (essential)

 

Assistant Physiotherapist (Voluntary)

Role: To support the lead physio with treatment of injuries and provision of massages for players

Requirements:

  • - In-progress undergraduate study in physiotherapy or sports therapy (essential)
  • - Knowledge and experience of treating sports injuries (essential)
