Rotherham United kick-off their 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship campaign with the visit of Swansea City to AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday 30th July, 3pm.

Ahead of the fixture, we’d like to remind supporters of some important information…

Don Street open as normal

We are pleased to announce that the works on Don Street have been completed, meaning that it will once again provide an access and egress route on matchdays.

This will now return to being the primary entry point for vehicles entering the stadium.

Pedestrians can continue to use Don Street and New York Way as normal.

Arrive early

We would like to once again encourage supporters who are attending this fixture to arrive in plenty of time ahead of the 3pm kick-off.

Having issued a similar message through the 2021/22 campaign – which yielded a more positive outcome with supporters entering the turnstiles with greater ease – we are once again asking that fans arrive at AESSEAL New York Stadium in plenty of time and familiarise themselves with the new ticket scanning process at the stadium.

Tickets

We would like to remind 2021/22 season ticket holders who have purchased again with us this year, that last season’s ticket card WILL work at the turnstiles as previously communicated.

The only people who need new season ticket cards will be those who have either changed categories or moved seats for the 2022/23 season.

For those who are not yet familiar with the new turnstile access control system, we have produced the below video tutorial, which we hope will be hopeful to supporters prior to their arrival at the stadium.

A limited number of tickets remain for home supporters, with no tickets available to buy on the day of the game for away fans.

Ticket collection points

Supporters who are collecting tickets for the match can do so from the following locations. All tickets will be kept in the Red and White Shop until 1.30pm at which point they will be sent to the following turnstiles:

  • Any tickets purchased in the Eric Twigg Pukka Pie West Stand - Turnstile 8
  • Any tickets purchased for the KCM Recycling North Stand - Turnstile 11
  • Any tickets purchased in the Ben Bennett Family East Stand or the South East Corner - Turnstile 15

Elior UK encouraging card payments on stadium concourse kiosks

As we continue to work towards speeding up food and drink services on matchdays, our catering partners at Elior UK would like to once again encourage card payments on the concourse kiosks.

While cash will still be accepted, we would like to take this opportunity to encourage fans to use card payments which remains the quickest and most convenient way to pay on a matchday.

Having noted feedback from supporters about queuing times and whilst continuing to work closely with Elior UK, we remain committed to achieving the best supporter experience possible at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

RUWFC looking to inspire next generation with meet & greet at AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday

On the back of an unforgettable UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, Rotherham United Community Sports Trust are looking to inspire the next generation of female football stars, with the 2022/23 Rotherham United Women’s side set to meet and greet supporters ahead of Saturday’s fixture with Swansea City at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

The town was gripped by Euro 2022-fever with the likes of Iceland, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands and most prominently, France flocking to Rotherham for one of the game’s biggest ever festivals of football.

Players from the women’s first team squad, as well as junior members will be situated at AESSEAL New York Stadium and the newly-installed ‘Ambitious, But Brilliant’ Pop-up museum from 1:30 on Saturday, as we look to build on the momentum created by the tournament.

If you’re arriving at the ground early, keep an eye out for a number of activities taking place prior to our curtain-raiser against Russell Martin’s side and why not have a look inside our exhibition, too?

The entertainment facility is free to enter to supporters who are season ticket holders or have purchased tickets for the match, with pre-match entertainment provided for kids who are arriving early for the game.

The centre is now on the ground floor of the Community offices, located on the ground floor of the Eric Twigg Foods West Stand, near the Players' Entrance.
