"I thought first half we were the better side although they created the better chances, so in fairness I thank my goalkeeper - who kept us in a couple of times - and there were a couple of last ditch tackles. They just looked more of a threat than we did because I don't think we created enough.
"I thought second half we were a lot better and the longer the game went on, the fitter and stronger we were.

"I was disappointed that it went into extra time.
"I thought in extra time I thought we were really good and really disciplined.
"The subs all came on and had a really good impact and I was really pleased with everyone who performed today.
"I'm disappointed for the lads because I've asked them to make memories because their careers are really short.
"It would have been great if Woody's lads saw him play against Tottenham or Icky's kids saw him play at Liverpool."
