POST-MATCH | We're one game from Wembley - Warne

Millers boss Paul Warne speaks following his side's Papa John's Trophy quarter final triumph over Cambridge United at AESSEAL New York Stadium...

“I think we’ll play better, but we won and that’s what football is all about.

“We’re one game from Wembley.

“We had to get some game time into some players and I made nine changes. You can see for the lads who haven’t been in the team that you can train as much as you like and do as much running as you want, but nothing replicates games.

“They’ve got a game in their legs and I think you can see that the pitch is struggling a little bit.

“In that respect it was good.

“I thought we were really good fairness, and in fairness, we could have been well in front.

“We started the second half well and then they just grew into the game a bit.

“For the first 20 minutes of the second half, they couldn’t get into our box at all, and the last 20 they did – although I don’t think Viktor had too many saves to make, in fairness.

“I would like us to play better and be more convincing, but I think if we’d taken our chances, we’d have been alright.”
