Paul Warne speaks following the South Yorkshire derby success over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough...
“We weren’t at our best. Sheffield Wednesday are a really in-form side who are good at home. They had too much for us and we had to change it at half-time. I had to say a few home truths. The lads knew they didn’t perform well enough but I thought the game was similar to the New York game, but reversed.
“We were the better side at home but lost two-nil and Sheffield Wednesday were the better side today and we win two-nil. Football is never fair.
“We got a good goal off a set piece and there was some dogged defending. We rode our luck on numerous occasions and overall, I don’t think the best team won.
“We kept a clean sheet and we found a way to win. The lads put their body on the line and it was a good three points.”
