POST-MATCH | It all came together in the end - Warne

“I thought it was a game where both teams were trying to score. It sounds an obvious thing to say but neither side sat behind the ball. The score line could have been anything.

“We should have scored more goals, as should have they. They are a footballing side but all their chances came from long balls. We could have dropped our line a little bit deeper but if you do that, they pass through the middle of the pitch.

“At times, I didn’t think we defended as well as we would have liked but going forward, I thought we were ok. The players looked a little leggy in the first half and in the second half, they were a lot better. Haks had a positive influence when he came on and Jordi added legs to the side. Chieo was virtually unplayable, at times.

“It all came together in the end but it didn’t seem it at the time.”
