Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the signing of Brooke Norton-Cuffy, who arrives at AESSEAL New York Stadium on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal, subject to ratification from the EFL, FA and Premier League.
The exciting right-wing back has been with the Gunners since the age of 10 and has continued to excel through every age group in North London.
Norton-Cuffy was sent out on loan to further his footballing development last term, where he moved to Lincoln City on a temporary basis in the second half of the 2021/22 campaign. Millers fans may remember him from our game with the Imps back in March, in which he played on the right flank for the Imps.
Having already featured at AESSEAL New York Stadium, the 18-year-old was able to showcase his talents in South Yorkshire again, when England U19s ran out 4-0 winners over Armenia at our home towards the back end of March.
After several impressive performances at LNER Stadium, he was named in the England European U19s Championship squad, in which he helped lead his country to glory, coming on as a substitute as the Three Lions overcame Israel in the final to win the trophy.
His parent club have been monitoring his progress closely and rewarded him for his strong displays with a new contract in the summer. Now, he will continue his development with the Millers, where he will get his first exposure to Sky Bet Championship football.
Brooke will wear the number 10 shirt during his stay with the club and has signed in time to be in contention for tomorrow’s Carabao Cup Second Round tie against Morecambe at AESSEAL New York Stadium, provided all the relevant clearances from the EFL, FA and Premier League are granted.
