Rotherham United are delighted to confirm that our eagerly anticipated celebratory book, Still Spreading The News, commemorating a decade of memories at our AESSEAL New York Stadium home is now available to purchase from the Red and White Shop.
Copies have now been dispatched to supporters who pre-ordered the book before 30th June 2022 and it has now hit the shelves!
Priced at £21.99, the Millers have collaborated with our Programme Partners ACA Creative to design and populate this 152 page publication, with the most memorable moments since the club moved into our ‘new’ home back in 2012, following a four-year exile in Sheffield at Don Valley Stadium.
The last decade has certainly been ladened with success, a rollercoaster it certainly has been, but with many more ups than there has been downs. During which time, the Millers climbed from the basement EFL division to the Sky Bet Championship for the first time since 2005 and have enjoyed numerous promotions back there.
The most notable of which was of course the record-breaking 2021/22 campaign, where the club enjoyed one the greatest season’s in its history, achieving 90 points and promotion from the third tier, as well as landing the Papa Johns Trophy for only the second time.
Also included within the book is the unprecedented behind-closed-doors campaign of 2020/21, during which we played a full season without our loyal fans at AESSEAL New York Stadium, as the world looked to overcome the challenges presented to us all by the coronavirus pandemic.
The A4 size publication – which is in landscape orientation – is packed with all of the most eye-catching images from each season at our home and works chronologically from the construction of the stadium, right through to last season’s historic promotion winning campaign, giving Millers fans the chance to take a stroll down memory lane.
It isn’t all just football either, with significant commercial deals completed within the timeframe also featuring, alongside a plethora of charity efforts, including the stadium being ‘lit up’ in various colours, supporting causes like the NHS and more recently, showing solidarity with the people of Ukraine during the current conflict.
