Rotherham United U18s slipped to defeat in their 2022/23 season-opener against Grimsby Town, with the Mariners edging a five-goal thriller between the pair.
The Millers took the lead in the 8th minute, when Joel Holvey saw his free kick loop into the net, but Town were level 10 minutes later, when Tomlinson scored from the penalty spot.
The youngsters were ahead at the break thanks to Curtis Durose, who turned expertly inside the box before stroking the ball into the bottom corner.
Grimsby were not to be denied though and scored twice in the second half to claim all three points, with Bramwell restoring parity after an hour, before Dennis smashed home to winner.
