Rotherham United can confirm that first-year professional duo Curtis Durose and Mackenzie Warne have joined Gainsborough Trinity on loans that will run for one month, subject to EFL and FA ratification.

The pair made their senior bows for Paul Warne’s first team during the 2021/22 campaign, with both involved in the Papa Johns Trophy thrashing of Manchester City U21 at AESSEAL New York Stadium and depart the Millers in a temporary switch to further their footballing education.

Durose and Warne depart for the Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit who play their home fixtures at The Northolme and are managed by former Scunthorpe United midfielder Neal Bishop and Damon Parkinson.

The duo’s loan side will compete alongside the likes of FC United of Manchester, Hyde United and Whitby Town when the 2022/23 season kicks off.

Everyone at Rotherham United would like to wish both Curtis and Mack well during their time out on loan.
