Rotherham United are delighted to be continuing our affiliation with long-term club partners PUMA Teamwear, after agreeing an extension which will see the sportswear giant continue as our official kit suppliers until the 2025/26 campaign.

Puma Teamwear are one of the world’s leading sportswear brands and we are incredibly proud to be amongst their longest-serving associates, having first signed an agreement ahead of the 2011/12 campaign, back when the Millers were playing at Don Valley Stadium.

Current first team manager Paul Warne was still a player when Puma first manufactured the above kit for Rotherham United

Since then, the relationship has continued to go from strength to strength, with the Millers working closely with our friends from Puma to produce a number of bespoke designs, none more so than this campaign’s popular Primary Strip, with the club taking the opportunity to mark 10 years of football at our AESSEAL New York Stadium home, with a bespoke design which saw the unique architecture of our home weaved into the body of the jersey.

The Puma Cat logo has become synonymous with popular Rotherham United strips over the last decade, with the branding set to once again be proudly adorned on our trainingwear and matchday kit, all products will of course be quality assured, having gone through rigorous control measures within their manufacturing process, to deliver first-class standard which we’ve become accustomed to.

Upon finalising the new deal, Commercial Director Steve Coakley expressed his delight at the opportunity to continue the successful relationship with one of the world’s leading team sportswear brands.

“I’m thrilled to be extending our partnership with one of our long-term club affiliates, who have been with us since the Don Valley days.

“The relationship has continued to flourish year on year and as it has grown, so has the understanding with what our supporters want, which has been evident in a number of popular strip designs which we have worked alongside Puma to deliver.

“We know we’re biased, but we feel our 2022/23 primary strip is one of our most exciting releases of the modern era and we are extremely grateful to our friends from Puma for bringing it to life.

“It goes without saying that we’ve been overjoyed with the level of service that we have received since our association began over a decade ago and we are delighted to have the opportunity to continue working together in the future."

“Puma are without a doubt one the leading global sportwear brands and we are immensely proud to be carrying their name until 2026.”

Jamie Oakes, Strategic Account Sales Manager, PUMA Teamwear, was equally thrilled to see the deal extended.

“We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Rotherham United and continuing what has been a fantastic journey with the club dating all the way back to 2011.

“The synergy between the brand and club has been well established over this period, and continues to grow with each season and feedback received from the club’s faithful.

“All of us here at PUMA believe ourselves to be an integral part of the Millers family, with this new extension taking us past 15 years as partners we are excited to see what we can bring to the table to excite the fans in the coming seasons."

James Oakes, Puma Teamwear Strategic Account Sales Manager

“Thanks as always to everyone that works tirelessly within the backroom team, and the wider RUFC family, in being great partners to work with and we look forward to further growing those relationships.”
