Rotherham’s Swedish shot-stopper Viktor Johansson has been awarded the Mattress Online Man of the Match award after keeping his second clean sheet of the campaign on Tuesday night’s fixture against Preston North End.
The Millers put out a solid and professional performance at Deepdale, going in the match as underdogs. The impressive form defensively is evidenced by the nominees for the Man of the Match – with Cameron Humphreys, Grant Hall, and Cohen Bramall all putting their names on the list alongside the winner Viktor Johansson with 40.3% of the 1,130 votes cast.

Johansson pulled off some brilliant saves to see the score stay level as every time the Lilywhites front men carved out an opportunity, the ever-reliable keeper was there to match the effort.
However, this isn’t to say Rotherham were without chances, the Millers could easily have taken all three points themselves at various times in the match with Cohen Bramall being a constant threat down the left flank. Bramall caught out North End goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on his near side but the effort deflected off the post.
