Rotherham United are delighted to confirm that Academy graduate Jake Hull has put pen-to-paper on a new three-year contract at AESSEAL New York Stadium, subject to ratification from the EFL and FA.

The young defender’s continued development at Roundwood, alongside his form whilst out on loan has impressed the coaching staff, who have acted swiftly to tie him down to a long-term deal with Rotherham United.

The defender served a two-year scholarship with the Millers before signing his first professional contract in August 2020, enjoying loans with the likes of Matlock Town and Guiseley in non-league, before making the step up to the EFL with a stint at Hartlepool United on a temporary basis.

Hull made his first team debut for the Millers last term and also scored in the 6-0 rout of neighbours Doncaster Rovers in the first game of the club’s successful 2021/22 Papa Johns Trophy campaign, before further adding to his tally in a 5-0 win over Manchester City U21s.

Having committed his future to Rotherham United, Hull will be hoping to emulate the likes of Ben Wiles and Joshua Kayode, who have successfully made the step-up to the first team in recent years.
