Millers manager Paul Warne was immensely proud with his side’s never-say-die attitude as they produced a superb rearguard action against Preston North End to earn a valuable point while maintaining their fine start to their Sky Bet Championship league campaign.
“It was a battling point but every point is important. We had a couple of good chances to score, as did they. In the second half, they dominated and we struggled to get out. We did not have a physical presence. We put Georgie on but we were getting overloaded.
“It was a tough night for the lads. There were some tired bodies near the end but to hang on and get a clean sheet against a team, who I feel will be really up there, I’m really proud of them.
“Although they put lots of crosses in. We defended the set-pieces really well. I thought Pelts was outstanding and Hally and Humphreys were really good”.
