VACANCY | IT Technician

An exciting opportunity to join the team at Rotherham United has arisen...

We are looking for an experienced IT technician, who will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day support of a medium sized network spread over two sites, comprising of several Hyper-V clusters, various core and access switches, PCs, laptops, printers, and all associated equipment.

We are looking for an individual who has a calm, methodical approach to problem solving and can manage their own work schedule using correct priorities.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven record of supporting Windows Servers, PCs, and printers in a networked environment
  • TCP/IP knowledge
  • A good working knowledge of Windows server and PC operating systems
  • Approachable and service orientated

The position will involve:

  • Providing first line on-site and remote IT support with use of a ticketing system.
  • Supporting the deployment of hardware, software, and maintenance of all information technology assets
  • Responsibility for management of LAN infrastructure including ethernet cables, wireless access points and switches
  • Supporting Windows Server and desktop operating systems and applications
  • Hardware / software maintenance and procurement

Experience of the following is essential:

  • Working with Active Directory
  • Microsoft 365, including Azure AD and Intune
  • Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Network cable and patch panel termination
  • Working Knowledge of PowerBi

Experience of the following would be an advantage:

  • SQL
  • VPN configuration and management
  • Efacs ERP system
  • Aruba switch configuration
  • Linux

The role will either be based at Rotherham United RUFC LTD or at ASD Lighting plc, both roles will support both companies.
