We’ve called upon the fans to do their bit, but we know we have to play our part too.
In an attempt to try and harness the feel-good factor - which came along with those euphoric post-match scenes at Wembley following the Papa Johns Trophy final - we are encouraging supporters to come in a bit earlier than normal as we try and ramp up the volume levels to help Paul Warne and his side ahead of three big home games – starting this weekend with a clash against Charlton Athletic.
We have received emails and countless tweets and messages on Facebook asking for it, and we’re going to make sure we answer.
Freed from Desire – which was belted out in a party atmosphere on Sunday – will be played just before the teams come out of the tunnel on Saturday and will be synchronised with the Papa Johns Trophy itself being brought out onto the pitch.

Warney and his coaching staff have also recognised the opportunity to try and carry the momentum of the weekend’s silverware win through into Saturday’s game and have also hand-picked a playlist of their own which will include a number of indie classics and will be played as the two teams warm-up at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
As a club, we have said on numerous occasions that we need you and recognise that we have a role to play in helping to generate an atmosphere ahead of the run-in.
We need to make the ‘home advantage’ count and if we can get this place rocking as it was on nights like Preston North End in the Sky Bet League One Play-offs and Aldershot on the day that the Millers were promoted from League Two, we know the players will respond in giving their all on the pitch.
The songs which have been selected by the first team coaching staff and will be played during the warm-up are as follows:
Mr. Brightside – The Killers
Sweet Disposition - The Temper Trap
Roll With It – Oasis
Not 19 Forever – The Courteeners
Bet That You Look Good On the Dancefloor – Arctic Monkeys
I Will Wait – Mumford and Sons
Hard To Beat – Hard Fi
What You Know – 2 Door Cinema Club
Pompeii – Bastille

Both the Millers boss Paul Warne and club captain Richard Wood have re-emphasised the importance of a big and loud crowd at AESSEAL New York Stadium ahead of the weekend.#rufc | #ForeverTogetherForeverProud pic.twitter.com/Mgov3MFICN
Tickets are still available for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One showdown with Charlton Athletic and we are already looking forward to welcoming you to AESSEAL New York Stadium as we return to league action following a brilliant weekend for the club in the capital last time out.
