Rotherham United’s Academy helped themselves to an EFL Youth Alliance Cup triumph over Morecambe as they ran out 2-1 winners in South Yorkshire.
Ciaran McGuckin grabbed the headlines by notching a brace against the Shrimps with goals either side of half time proving decisive in the clash at Sheffield Hallam University Sports Park.
The result made it two wins from two in the 2021/22 Youth Alliance Cup, having already seen off the challenge of Carlisle United a month earlier.
