Rotherham United would like to remind supporters of some useful matchday information, ahead of Tuesday's Sky Bet League One game with AFC Wimbledon at AESSEAL New York Stadium...

Arrive early

Ahead of Tuesday night’s hosting of AFC Wimbledon at AESSEAL New York Stadium in Sky Bet League One, we would like to once again encourage supporters to arrive in plenty of time ahead of the 7:45pm kick off.

Having issued a similar message prior to our recent games against Fleetwood Town and Crewe Alexandra – which yielded a more positive outcome with supporters entering to turnstiles with greater ease – we are once again asking that fans arrive at AESSEAL New York Stadium in plenty of time and familiarise themselves with the new ticket scanning process at the stadium.

Matchday and Season Tickets

We are confident that we have now ironed out a number of early teething issues which were experienced following the return of supporters alongside our access control partners and are keen to ensure that our fan base is now up-to-speed with how to gain access using both season cards and match-day tickets.

For those who are not yet familiar with the new turnstile access control system, we have produced the below video tutorial, which we hope will be helpful to supporters prior to their arrival at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Don Street to remain closed until October

Rotherham United would like to remind supporters of the ongoing works on Don Street which usually provides an access and egress route to and from the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Access to and from the stadium via Don Street has been restricted since supporters returned for the 2021/22 campaign and following recent discussions with the Council, the club can confirm that Don Street will now be closed both the vehicles and pedestrians until all road and bridge works have reached completion which is estimated to be by mid-October.

New York Way will now be the primary access and egress route for vehicular traffic while pedestrians will continue to use New York Way and the car park located at the rear of Riverside House.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this.

Elior UK continuing to encourage card payments on stadium concourse kiosks

As part of our ongoing efforts to speed up food and drink services on matchdays, our catering partners at Elior UK have asked to once again remind supporters that they are encouraging card payments on the concourse kiosks.

While they will continue to accept cash, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind fans that the quickest and most convenient way to pay on a matchday is through card payments.

Having noted feedback from supporters about queuing times and whilst continuing to work closely with Elior UK we will continue to try and achieve the best supporter experience possible at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
