Rotherham United would like to remind supporters that we are continuing to offer free match tickets to key workers in the local area thanks to the kindness of our fans who donated to the United Rotherham project.

So far, the club have welcomed applications for over 1,500 key workers to AESSEAL New York Stadium who have been the benefactors of the funds donated back to the club by fans following the curtailment of the 2019/20 campaign due to the coronavirus pandemic - 400 of whom will join us for tomorrow's hosting of Crewe Alexandra.

Our Community Sports Trust are continuing to take applications for ‘key worker’ tickets for games throughout the course of this season, so if you know someone who you think is deserving of enjoying the sights and sounds of a Rotherham United matchday please do get in touch.

Speaking about the brilliant uptake so far and ahead of welcoming more key workers to this weekend’s hosting of Crewe Alexandra, Head of Community Jamie Noble said:

“We have not lost sight of the financial sacrifice made by our supporters or the contribution made to our society by key workers throughout the pandemic,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.

“It has been great to meet many of them who have joined us at matches so far throughout the 2021/22 season and, on behalf of the club, thank them for their efforts whilst we were all in lockdown and beyond.

“It is still staggering, even now, to consider the selflessness and generosity shown by our supporters who were able to afford to waiver their refunds, and therefore contribute to what is an absolutely excellent cause.

Jamie Noble, Head of Community

“We are dealing with new applications on a day-to-day basis and still have availability throughout the season, so I would encourage anyone that meets the criteria in the Government link provided below to get in touch.”
