Rotherham United striker Michael Smith has seen his wonder strike against Morecambe nominated for the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month crown for August.
The forward has been in blistering form since the start of the campaign, with five goals to his name already, three of which came in the opening month.
His strike against the Shrimps particularly caught the eye, letting fly from distance to find the top corner, with his goal winning all three points for his team.

Michael Smith – Morecambe v ROTHERHAM UNITED – 17th August
Smith hadn’t scored for 10 EFL games dating back to April, but you wouldn’t know it from the trickery that took him past two players and the dipping 30-yard wallop which followed.
Elliot Embleton – SUNDERLAND v Wycombe Wanderers – 28th August
Embleton was already moving as he tucked a throw-in around the corner to Lynden Gooch. Seizing the return pass, he sent an exquisite left-foot curler spinning into the far corner.
Tom Bloxham – SHREWSBURY TOWN v Gillingham – 28th August
Some overhead kicks are instinctive whirls of the body. Others, like the one Bloxham fashioned as he followed a dropping ball away from goal, are richly created out of chaos.
