Rotherham United can confirm that – following a review by the EFL’s Dubious Goals Panel – the club’s second goal in our win at MK Dons, previously credited to Dan Barlaser, has now been awarded to Michael Smith.

Following a review of the footage, and with the blessing of the Millers midfielder, the club had requested that the EFL review the footage of the 65th minute goal, which has now been deemed to have taken its final touch off Smith.

The amendment has been made across all official records and takes the 30-year-old’s Sky Bet League One total to 10 for the season, putting him joint top of the third tier scorers level, with Cole Stockton and Macauley Bonne.

It also means that Barlaser tops the Sky Bet League One assists charts with five.
