As a result of the ongoing bridge repair works on Don Street, Rotherham United can confirm that it has been agreed with our local Safety Advisory Group that our capacity at AESSEAL New York Stadium be reduced by 1,500, until such time as the works are completed.

Whilst we know that this will cause some disappointment amongst our supporters, we must reaffirm that this decision has been made in the interest of the safety of everyone attending fixtures at our stadium.

The bridge repair works on Don Street are currently projected to be finished in December this year, meaning that we will be unable to welcome supporters to the stadium’s maximum capacity of 12,008 until this period is over.

This will have an effect on the availability of tickets for a number of our first team fixtures during this time, most prominently our upcoming game against Sunderland on Saturday 30th October 2021.

The reduction in capacity means that we are now down to the last 200 remaining tickets for this fixture.

In the event that the remaining 200 tickets sell out, our staff in the Red and White Shop will start taking names for a waiting list, should any further tickets become available.

The waiting list in the Red and White Shop will be for supporters who have a previous purchase history with us.
