READ | Ollie and Viktor pay visit to Billingley Christmas Tree Farm as Millers gear up for festive season

15 November 2021

With the countdown to Christmas almost upon us, the Millers are already getting into the festive spirit, once again utilising the services of our friends and club partners at Billingley Christmas Tree Farm.

Midfielder Ollie Rathbone and stopper Viktor Johansson visited the farm on a mission to pick out two Christmas Trees to be proudly displayed at AESSEAL New York Stadium in the build-up to the big day.

As in years gone by, the club will be showcasing 25ft high main tree outside of the KCM Recycling North Stand, whilst main reception will also be adorned with a smaller version.

Rotherham United Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens expressed his gratitude to Billingley Christmas Tree farm for again providing the club with festive decorations at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

“Christmas is a truly magical time of the year and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say just how excited I am at the prospect of these two wonderful tress proudly lighting up the AESSEAL New York Stadium,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.

“I love Christmas and so do the rest of the Hitchens family,  in fact, we have made it a little Christmas family tradition to visit the farm with the grandkids to see the reindeers and pick out our own festive decorations.

“We are once again extremely grateful to our friends at Billingley for very kindly providing us with this year’s trees, which I’m sure will – as always – be very well received by our supporters.”

Situated on Back Lane, Barnsley, Billingley have been a long-time partner of the club supplying trees and decorations during our stint here at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

“We always love working with Rotherham United, who have shown us great support for many years now,” Billingley Christmas Tree Farm Director Sally Stenton told www.themillers.co.uk.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Ollie Rathbone and Viktor Johansson up to the farm to select the Christmas Trees for AESSEAL New York Stadium, which will be delivered shortly.

“We know we may be biased, but we think they picked two absolute beauties and we can’t wait to see them in all their glory at the stadium in the build up to the festive season.”
