Rotherham United are offering supporters the chance to own a piece of Millers history by holding an online charity prize draw in aid of Rotherham Hospice and Bluebell Wood – which will see one lucky fan land Freddie Ladapo’s match worn shirt from the history-making win at Hillsborough.
Freddie’s name will now be forever etched into Rotherham United folklore thanks to his stoppage time winner, which not only sunk the Owls on the night, but completed the Millers’ first ever league double over Sheffield Wednesday.
In the name of charity, we are giving Millers fans the chance to win the shirt Freddie was wearing during those history-defining moments when he advanced to fire home the last-minute winner.
To give all of our supporters the best possible chance of landing this once-in-a-lifetime piece of Millers memorabilia, we have decided to host a prize draw, rather than an auction – which has very kindly been sponsored by our ticketing partners Advanced.
During the pandemic, the work in which we have been able to undertake in the community has been limited, but rest assured, we have not lost sight of our commitment to the many wonderful charities in the local area.
We have been unable to host our annual bucket collection in aid of the Rotherham Hospice whilst Covid restrictions meant that we couldn’t carry out our annual Christmas visits to both the hospice and Bluebell Wood.
With that in mind, all of the profits raised from this prize draw will be split between the two amazing charities.
Not only will you be giving yourself a chance to lay claim to having Freddie’s match-winning shirt, but you’ll be supporting two causes incredibly close to our hearts and the hearts of many others in the town.
Freddie’s shirt has been quarantined and thoroughly washed and disinfected since the fixture at Hillsborough a week ago and will come signed by the man himself and framed by our friends at Pinders.
Tickets are priced at £3 each and can be bought via the following link on our official ticketing website.
Tickets will be available to buy until 5pm on Wednesday 31st March 2021, with the intention of getting the man himself to draw the winner a day later on Thursday 1st April 2021.

*Supporters will only be able to add up to 25 tickets to their online basket at any one time, but should they wish to purchase more than that amount, it is simply a case of ‘reselecting’ the Freddie Ladapo Prize Draw option at the top of the page and adding further tickets to your basket before checking out.
Supporters will be allocated a ticket number for each entry which can be viewed in their purchase history online. There will be no physical ticket to collect from the ticket office.
If you have already signed up to buy tickets or season tickets in the past then you will still be registered, you don't have to register a new account with us. If you have any problems with accessing your account then please contact the Red and White Shop via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
The online checkout process suggests a 'collection' option for the tickets. Please note, there are no physical tickets which need to be collected for this draw. Each ticket purchased online will be allocated a number and entered into the prize draw.
