Rotherham United are proud to partner with the EFL trust and Network Rail to deliver the You Vs Train project for the second year running.

The aim of this project is to raise awareness about the dangers of trespassing on railways, and how we can reduce the likelihood of any future trespassing.

RUCST are working directly with young people in the community in order to encourage young people to understand the dangers of the railway and the risks that they pose to themselves, their friends and their families when they step on a track.

Rotherham United’s manager Paul Warne encourages local young people to “spread the word” in order to discourage railway trespassing. “Every year thousands of people risk their lives by stepping on the train tracks, and unfortunately these have increased during lockdown.”

Over the last 12 months, RUCST have delivered 500 face to face awareness sessions at our partnered schools and RUCST holiday camps. We have also supplemented this learning with weekly support, reminders and activities on social media.

Remember, everyone loses when you step on the track.
