Rotherham United can confirm that young sides will travel to Belper Town and Frickley Athletic in pre-season.
Teams made up of young professionals from Paul Warne’s first team and Academy players from Richard Hairyes’ youth setup will be involved in the fixtures against the two local non-league outfits over the course of the summer.
The likes of Jacob Gratton, Jake Hull and Jerome Greaves are just some of the players likely to be in action as they look to further their footballing educations ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
The youngsters will travel to Frickley Athletic on Saturday 17th July for a 3pm kick off and then to Belper Town on Thursday 29th July for a 7pm kick off.
Warne’s first team have friendlies against Rochdale (A) and Newcastle United (H) in the diary so far with announcements on further fixtures to follow in the coming days.
