Rotherham United Community Sports Trust have recruited five new members of staff to bolster their ever-expanding team due to funding grants from the Government’s Kickstart scheme and the DWP.
Three of the new employees were recruited on the Government’s Kickstart scheme in partnership with the English Football League Trust and Job Centre Plus. This scheme provides funding for RUCST to enable them to provide 25 hours of work for a total of 6 months; therefore giving these local young people a chance to ‘kickstart’ their career.
Eden Hallam (Assistant Sports Coach), Chris Pickford (Classroom Assistant) and Laura Boulding (Administration Assistant) are the new Kickstart members of staff at RUCST. With a combined range of different skills; these talented, young individuals make a huge contribution the Trust’s diverse and hard-working team.
Gary Bricknell, Operations Manager at RUCST said “We are delighted to have added a range of new talent to our team through our Kickstart Scheme. All of our new recruits have many vitial skills that will provide the trust with much needs support over the next 6 months. This initiative is an amazing way to start people’s careers and give them that initial boost that they need.”
Two other members of staff, Sandra Greatorex and Naveed Ahmed have been employed on funding from the DWP as part of our Employability and Inclusion teams.
