In Planet Super League, the greener you are, the more goals you will score for your club.
In partnership with Rotherham United Community Sports Trust, the Millers have joined over 30 other clubs across the UK, including Premier League giants Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in supporting the project.
Families play Planet Super League together, tackling green activities to protect the planet, win points for their football club, and track the impact they’re having on their carbon footprint. Thousands of fans across the country are taking part, with over 60 planet-protecting activities, with new ones being added all the time.
Ranging from everyday actions like walking or cycling to work or school to ingenious ways to upcycle clothes or use old packaging in simple craft projects, everything you do for the environment will be helping the Millers climb up the leaderboard and most importantly, save the planet.
Rotherham United Head of Community Jamie Noble said: “We’re delighted to have signed up to join Planet Super League, and we’re really excited to see how much of an impact Millers’ supporting families can have on helping to protect our planet.
“I think it’s a fantastic initiative which offers a fun way for families to get involved in helping out their football club, as well as learning more about climate change and sustainability, whilst also seeing the small actions they take make a big difference to helping our planet.”
