Hospitality places for Rotherham United’s South Yorkshire derby with Sheffield Wednesday at AESSEEAL New York Stadium on Saturday 21st August have sold out with our supporters showing a great appetite to return to the lounges following a lengthy-spell away.
Following a busy period of sales following Fixture Release Day and the lifting of coronavirus restriction on 19th July, the lounges have now reached capacity for the clash against the Owls in August marking the first sold out fixture for hospitality in 2021/22.
Sales have been made across a number of other high-profile fixtures ahead of the upcoming season including the hosting of Doncaster Rovers, but none of the Millers’ other 21/22 matches have sold out at present.
Rotherham United’s Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens once again thanked supporters for their eagerness to join him, John Breckin and all of our hospitality guests in the lounges after what he says has been ‘too long’ with them away.
“It has been so good to make contact with the many sponsors, local businesses and regulars in the lounges after what has been far too long without them enjoying games here with us,” he told www.themillers.co.uk.
“I think the appetite for games is greater than ever, with fans keen to get back watching the Millers in-person after the various lockdown periods.
“We absolutely share that sentiment and we can’t wait to see the many friendly faces new and old back at the stadium."
