Rotherham United are delighted to unveil our new ‘change’ kit for the 2021/22 campaign, manufactured by Puma Teamwear.
Having been overwhelmed by the positive response from supporters to the release of our new pinstriped Primary strip, we are excited to be following it up by unveiling our second kit design for the season ahead, which once again has been tailored to include design elements bespoke to the Millers.
Whilst our new strip certainly bears resemblance to those of yesteryear - thanks to our close relationship with Puma Teamwear -we have been able to deliver another fresh design with a nod to our proud heritage.
Our ‘change’ strip is another inspired by kits of the past, meaning that some supporters may cast their minds back to the 90s and draw comparisons between this modern day design and kits that have preceded it.
As was detailed in the press release for the newly-signed marquee commercial deal with IPM Group, we are proud to be splashing the ‘intelipod’ branding – a company from the IPM Group family – across the front of the 2021/22 change strip shirt.
This deal will once again mean that the Millers can wear any of their three strips – the third of which is yet to be revealed – on the road throughout the upcoming campaign.
The shirt technology is once more made from lightweight polyester with moisture wicking technology, designed to quickly draw sweat away from the body, keeping you drier, cooler and more comfortable for longer.
The accompanying grey shorts are also made from 100% polyester, complete with a high-definition windmill crest on the right leg, as well as grown on waistband with inner drawcord, while the socks complete the grey design and feature the club’s initials ‘RUFC’ woven into horizontally on the front. The socks also feature the PUMA Cat branding which has been knitted on the back complemented with Band Detail to the ankle and a padded sole with smooth toe seam cushioning.
The Red and White Shop are expecting to take stock of the Millers’ latest new strip in mid-July, with details on when it will be available to purchase to follow in due course.
