Rotherham United are incredibly pleased to confirm that Michael Smith has been voted as our PA Entertainments Man of the Match following his impressive display during the 3-0 win over Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship last Wednesday.
The striker netted his fifth goal in seven outings from the penalty spot, to cap off a fantastic individual display.
On a night where all 11 players could be pleased with their displays, it was Smith’s work-rate and hold-up play that saw him standout from the rest on an excellent night all round for the Millers.
His performance was watched by fans both domestically and overseas, with the game shown live on iFollow Millers and he was crowned Man of the Match with a big overall majority of 57.9% of the votes.
🏆 | It could be anyone and it was incredibly hard to narrow it down to just four...

Background:
This poll is supported by PA Entertainments who have been long-term supporters of the club and were hailed for their recent work which involved them lighting up the stadium in the colours of the NHS and more recently, with the image of a poppy for Armistice Day.
As part of the agreement, the club’s official Twitter account @OfficialRUFC will post an online poll after each Millers fixture allowing supporters to pick out their Man of the Match from the shortlist.
The PA Entertainments Man of the Match will be revealed on a Monday morning following a Saturday fixture or midday on the day after a midweek fixture.
The next opportunity for supporters to pick their Man of the Match will be today, when the Millers host Swansea City at AESSEAL New York Stadium this afternoon.
