Rotherham United Academy youngster Haroon Salah has landed the LFE Goal of the Month award for December following a public vote
Salah’s strike against Lincoln City prevailed with 33% of the votes from the 10 goals shortlisted, seeing him edge out AFC Wimbledon’s Dylan Adjei-Hersey and Stevenage’s Obi Onyeagwara, who claimed second and third respectively.
With 2,773 votes, it was Salah’s goal that was crowned as pick of the bunch.
Following a throw-in down the line, there looked to be little in the way of a goalscoring opportunity for the Millers until Salah’s presence of mind coupled with a perfectly-executed strike saw him beat the goalkeeper all ends up from wide on the left wing.
If you haven’t seen the goal yet, it’s definitely worth a watch!
