Rotherham United Academy slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Grimsby Town on Saturday.
The young guns were playing just their second game of 2021, following disruption to the fixture schedule caused by adverse weather conditions.
In a tightly contested affair, it was the Mariners who kept their own unbeaten run going by finding a winning goal.
