Rotherham United were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore on Tuesday afternoon.

Sir Tom captured the hearts of the nation with his staggering fundraising efforts in the run-up to his 100^th birthday, inspiring people across the world throughout the pandemic, and raising an astonishing £32million for the NHS.

Both Rotherham United and Derby County agreed to partake in a minute’s applause ahead of kick-off on Tuesday to reflect on the life and achievements of an extraordinary man and will ensure that this tribute goes ahead of tonight's rearranged date (Wednesday 3rd February 2021).
