Rotherham United goalkeeper Viktor Johansson has collected yet another Man of the Match Award -sponsored by PA Entertainments – for his performance on Tuesday night against Nottingham Forest.
The Swedish stopper landed the coveted accolade by his greatest margin yet securing a whopping 80.1% of the 755 votes cast between the final whistle and the poll’s conclusion this morning.
The Millers were narrowly defeated by Chris Hughton’s Forest at AESSEAL New York Stadium in midweek with Ryan Yates’ goal proving the difference between the two sides.
Despite finding himself on the losing team, Johansson pulled off a number of key saves with the pick of the bunch coming in the form of odds-defying stops to deny Anthony Knockaert and Glenn Murray.
Lewis Wing, Clark Robertson and Wes Harding were also nominated for their performances on Tuesday night.
This poll is supported by PA Entertainments who have been long-term supporters of the club and were hailed for their recent work which involved them lighting up the stadium in the colours of the NHS and more recently, with the image of a poppy for Armistice Day.
As part of the agreement, the club’s official Twitter account @OfficialRUFC will post an online poll after each Millers fixture allowing supporters to pick out their Man of the Match from the shortlist.
The PA Entertainments Man of the Match will be revealed on a Monday morning following a Saturday fixture or midday on the day after a midweek fixture.
The next opportunity for supporters to pick their Man of the Match will be on Saturday, when the Millers welcome Reading to AESSEAL New York Stadium.
