Following the recent Government announcement regarding the new measures which have been put into place to reduce the transmission of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, Rotherham United are reminding supporters attending games at AESSEAL New York Stadium to bring a face covering.

Rotherham United can confirm that supporters WILL NOT be required to show a Covid vaccination passport or proof of a negative lateral flow test for this Saturday's Sky Bet League One meeting with Burton Albion.

While certification and tests will not be required this weekend, following the announcement made by the Government earlier this week, fans will now need to wear a face covering while on the concourse at AESSEAL New York Stadium, with the exception of when they are eating or drinking.

These must be worn by all supporters over the age of 11, unless medically exempt, whilst entering the stadium and whilst in the concourse areas.

It will also be a requirement for guests joining us in our hospitality areas to wear a face covering whilst they are not seated in lounges or executive boxes. These must be worn when entering main reception up until the point that guests are seated at their tables.

The club have made contact with the local authority to discuss whether any further measures will be required for future games, which we will communicate with supporters as soon as the discussions have been concluded.

Supporters continue to be encouraged to follow Government guidance and should not attend AESSEAL New York Stadium if you have any symptoms of Covid or you are required to self-isolate.

We would like to thank you in advance for your co-operation on the above matter.
