Rotherham United are motoring towards a ‘greener’ model with the help of Club Partners Rainworth Skoda, who have provided our assistant manager Richie Barker with a brand new plug-in hybrid Skoda Octavia company car.
The Millers, who have a fleet of vehicles from our colleagues at Rainworth Skoda, have been handed the keys to the brand new PHEV (Petrol Hybrid) Octavia as part of the agreement which has been so successful in recent years.
The ŠKODA OCTAVIA iV is our blueprint for the future. Both the SE Technology and SE L variants come as plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) and give you a dynamic, more sustainable car that meets all your driving needs.
Easy to charge and maintain, the ŠKODA OCTAVIA iV uses advanced technology to help you save money while reducing your carbon footprint.
Speaking to www.themillers.co.uk following the exchange of the keys, Head of Commercial Mark Hitchens was once again quick to express his gratitude to Rainworth Skoda for another fine vehicle – which also helps the club towards a ‘greener’ existence.
“Having spoken with Richie, I can safely say that he is thrilled with his new car and will be incredibly proud to motor around the country showing off another fine Skoda product.
“Not only is it a beautiful car, but also one which is better for the environment – something that as a club we are always looking to try and work towards.
“We are very proud of our affiliation with Rainworth Skoda and having spoken with our all of our club staff, I know everyone is really pleased with the cars we have in the fleet at present.
“On behalf of everyone here, I would like to say a huge thank you again to Jon and his colleagues for their excellent service, year-on-year.”
Rainworth Skoda Director and Millers supporter Jon Atherton was once again to heap praise on the ongoing business relationship between the two parties, whilst adding that his is proud to see everyone making an effort to be more energy-efficient in their travel choices.
“At Rainworth ŠKODA we’re delighted to continue our support of the Millers and even more so to be adding a Petrol hybrid (phev) to the fleet for Richie Barker to travel in,” he explained.
“It is all of our responsibilities to try and be more economical and it is great to see Rotherham United making a ‘green’ choice with one of our latest environmentally friendly vehicles.”
