READ | Matchday information v Stockport County

3 December 2021

Sponsored by

Rotherham United are in Emirates FA Cup action on Friday 3rd December, when they welcome Stockport County to AESSEAL New York Stadium for a 7:45pm kick off.

The Millers host the Hatters in the Second Round of this year's competition and ahead of the fixture with Dave Challinor's side, we’d like to remind supporters of some important information…

Barrier Plan/Exit Strategy

Rotherham United would like to make both home and visiting supporters aware of the exit strategy which will be deployed following this evening's meeting with Stockport County.

A barrier plan – similar to those utilised during previous fixtures that have drawn big crowds – will be used following the full-time whistle in an attempt to keep home and away supporters safe as they leave AESSEAL New York Stadium.

The club have been in discussions with the construction company responsible for the ongoing works on the Goit at Don Street, who have made provisions to allow us to utilise the road as a means of leaving on-foot following Saturday’s game.

Home supporters will exit the stadium grounds via the egress points at Riverside House and the top of Don Street.

Stockport County fans will leave AESSEAL New York Stadium via New York Way.

This is an ALL TICKET fixture...

THIS FIXTURE IS AN ALL TICKET FIXTURE WHICH MEANS THERE ARE NO SALES AFTER 3PM ON THE DAY OF THE GAME, FRIDAY 3RD DECEMBER.

Arrive early

We would like to once again encourage supporters who are attending this fixture to arrive in plenty of time ahead of the 7:45pm kick off.

Having issued a similar message prior to our recent Sky Bet League One fixtures – which yielded a more positive outcome with supporters entering the turnstiles with greater ease – we are once again asking that fans arrive at AESSEAL New York Stadium in plenty of time and familiarise themselves with the new ticket scanning process at the stadium.

Tickets

Having ironed out a number of early teething issues which were experienced following the return of supporters, we are keen to ensure that our fan base is now up-to-speed with how to gain access using both season card and matchday tickets.

For those who are not yet familiar with the new turnstile access control system, we have produced the below video tutorial, which we hope will be hopeful to supporters prior to their arrival at the stadium.

Elior UK continuing to encourage card payments on stadium concourse kiosks

As we continue to work towards speeding up food and drink services on matchdays, our catering partners at Elior UK would like to once again encourage card payments on the concourse kiosks.

While cash will still be accepted, we would again like to take this opportunity to encourage fans to use card payments, which remains the quickest and most convenient way to pay on a matchday.

Having noted feedback from supporters about queuing times and whilst continuing to work closely with Elior UK, we remain committed to achieving the best supporter experience possible at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
