Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the capture of Hakeem Odoffin who arrives at AESSEAL New York Stadium from Hamilton Academical for an undisclosed fee, subject to FA and EFL ratification and international clearance.

Millers boss Paul Warne has successfully completed his summer swoop for the 23-year-old that he has admired from afar, securing his target on a three-year deal ahead of the Sky Bet League One campaign - which kicks off this weekend against Plymouth Argyle.

The Barnet-born operator previously enjoyed spells in England with his hometown club, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Northampton Town – having started his career as a youth player in the Tottenham Hotspur Academy.

However, it was north of the border with Livingston and more recently, Hamilton, where he really started to find his feet.

Odoffin was a virtual ever-present for the Accies as he turned out 41 times in all in the Scottish Premiership last term, helping himself to four goals in that time.

Starting out initially as a defender by-trade, Odoffin has flourished in a more advanced role of late, being deployed as a defensive midfielder more recently in the top tier of Scottish football.

Despite interest from elsewhere in the 23-year-old, it is Warne’s Millers who have secured his services for a fee which will remain undisclosed.
