Following a thorough investigation into the ticketing issues experienced by supporters prior to our home league opener against Plymouth Argyle, the club has identified the cause of two separate issues which affected the access control system.
Having immediately explored the cause of the problems prior to our game on Saturday 7th August 2021, the club has highlighted and addressed the following issues.
We are aware that some Season Ticket cards were not permitting supporters access to the stadium – before the turnstile system stopped working later in the afternoon.
The club are now confident that the issues concerning the turnstiles not allowing ticket holders access will not occur again and we are pleased to confirm that we experienced no further problems at the Carabao Cup match against Accrington Stanley, which followed our home opener against Argyle.
Our ticketing staff have also been working hard to further explore issues with supporters who might have had problems with their Season Ticket cards. The staff in the Red and White Shop have subsequently made contact with the supporters in question ahead of this weekend’s fixture with Sheffield Wednesday.
The main areas in which we have seen supporters encounter these problems are in the Ben Bennett Stand Block ES3 and the KCM Recycling North Stand Blocks, NS3, NS4 and NS5.
There are also a number of supporters who we have contacted via email and asked to visit the Red and White Shop to check their cards to ensure they will work on the turnstiles. This is something our supporter services team can do should you come down and see us in plenty of time before the match - prior to matchday.
If we have sent a new Season Ticket card out to you by post following the Plymouth Argyle fixture, or if you have already checked your card in the Red and White Shop, you do NOT need to take any further action prior to this weekend’s game.
If you have any further questions which are not answered in the information above we would ask that you please email the Red and White Shop and a member of the team will be able to assist.
