Rotherham United Community Sports Trust will be holding open trials for our Future Stars Development Squad groups for the 2021/2022 academic year on Saturday 4th September at Parkgate Astro.
Future Stars is RUCST’s official football development programme that is delivered by our very own UEFA B qualified coaches; Adam Pilgrim and Dave Atkinson.
With links to Rotherham United’s Academy, Future Stars offers progression opportunities for children aged 7-14. Our Development Squads are by invitation only and give children the opportunity to develop their skills and understanding of the game in an environment designed to give them a high level of challenge. This is through extra training (potential twice a week), and a games programme against varied high-level opposition.
Our vision is that these groups will spend the 2021/2022 year building towards entry into the Junior Premier League (JPL) for the 2022/2023 season. RUCST are delighted to be joining this league with our Under 8’s and Under 14’s teams next year, as the JPL is a player development focused league which prides itself on bridging the gap between grassroots and academy football. The JPL will therefore offer a high standard of football to the players and teams within it.

- 09:00 – U7s (Year 2), U8s (Year 3)
- 10:00 – U9s (Year 4), U10s (Year 5)
- 11:00 – U11s (Year 6), U12s (Year 7)
- 12:00 – U13s (Year 8, U14s (Year 9)
