He became a Rotherham United centurion in the previous fixture with Wycombe Wanderers and in his 101st appearance, he was just as accomplished and dependable as in his previous 100.

The only thing that was missing from Ben Wiles in a standout performance against Huddersfield Town, was the goal his performance deserved.

The Rawmarsh-born midfielder was a real asset to his side at John Smith’s Stadium, with his lung-busting runs, marrying well with his industry in both boxes for his side.

Wiles’ performance earned him the plaudits from the Millers fans with a 46.8% share of the 652 votes cast by supporters following the full time whistle.

Lewis Wing earned 29.6% of the votes after another impressive display alongside Wiles in the middle of the park, with Richard Wood and Matt Crooks also nominated.

This poll is supported by PA Entertainments who have been long-term supporters of the club and were hailed for their recent work which involved them lighting up the stadium in the colours of the NHS and more recently, with the image of a poppy for Armistice Day.

As part of the agreement, the club’s official Twitter account @OfficialRUFC will post an online poll after each Millers fixture allowing supporters to pick out their Man of the Match from the shortlist.

The PA Entertainments Man of the Match will be revealed on a Monday morning following a Saturday fixture or midday on the day after a midweek fixture.

The next opportunity for supporters to pick their Man of the Match will be on Tuesday, when the Millers face Queens Park Rangers at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
